Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Shop Manager, reporting directly into the Giorgio Armani Corporate Office, will be responsible for developing, and training a staff that is dedicated to driving the business and to insure smooth operation of the Armani Collezioni Men's and Women’s shops at Bloomingdale's King of Prussia. The Shop Manager will act as a direct link between the Bloomingdales sales floor and the Giorgio Armani Corporate Office. This position is responsible for all facets of account management, inclusive of line presentation, fiscal planning and monitoring, and overall brand promotion.


CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Meet and/or exceed the sales goals
  • Provide a proactive business plan while maintaining peak productivity in all areas
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of and passion for Giorgio Armani brand, merchandise, retail/fashion industry
  • Analyze store sales reports to determine the needs of the business and set business strategies
  • Track, monitor and communicate business results
  • Seek out new ways to increase business
  • Support the development of associate's sales techniques to maximize sales
  • Motivate associates on the selling floor through personal presence that encourages enthusiasm for the product and promotes good morale among staff
  • Support various in store events
  • Maintain a consistent awareness of the competition
  • Implement and maintain all merchandising directives and insure execution of effective merchandising strategies
  • Communicate with Giorgio Armani partners regarding the status of current business,<x{(}>(including selling trends) on a daily, monthly, and seasonal basis
  • Partner with retail management to ensure that the Giorgio Armani standards of sales performance are being upheld

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 3+ years of management experience in a similar high end related field
  • Sales background
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Power Point, and Lotus Notes
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills both verbal and written
  • Able to speak effectively in interpersonal situations
  • Strong independent work ethic, excellent time management skills, and organizational abilities
  • College degree or equivalent
